MMA a Hit in New Zealand

Big time MMA has arrived in New Zealand. Last weekend, Hextreme Cage Fighting: Carnage in the Cage was held at ASB Stadium in Auckland. The event was advertised as “New Zealand’s first international Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) cage fighting event.”

The show was screened live on Sky Sport 1 in New Zealand on 27th October and featured some of the best fighters New Zealand has to offer as well as fighters from Australia, America and Brazil. Special guest Jeff Monson was flown in from the United States of America to be at the show.

The main event was an Australasian Title fight between Adrian Pang of Integrated MMA Australia and American Top Team’s Zach Skinner. The fight went the distance and was awarded to the Aussie on a unanimous decision. After his dominant display, the belt was presented to Adrian Pang by Hextreme promoter Billy Scanlan.
