Liddell-Silva Fight is Not Signed Yet

Chuck Liddell and Wanderlei Silva are winless in their last four combined fights, yet a battle between the two mixed martial arts fighters is a can't-miss bout fans covet.
Silva says it's on for December, and DirecTV all but confirmed the bout by posting a promo for the fight on its Web site late last week.
The advertisement has been pulled, and UFC president Dana White says the fight has not been signed, although it could happen soon.
After Liddell lost to Keith Jardine at UFC 76: Knockout last month, White publicly questioned whether the oft-delayed fight made sense anymore. He has since changed his stance, but wasn't willing to confirm the bout has been added to the UFC's Dec. 29 show when asked about it over the weekend.
Liddell, 37, hinted at retirement following the loss to Jardine, and he has stayed out of the spotlight since. However, he's back in the gym and sparring.
Silva, 31, hasn't fought since February when he was knocked out by Dan Henderson at Pride 33: The Second Coming and has lost three of his last five, but is still considered one of the world's best at 205 pounds.
