Brandon Vera’s Wife to Fight in England

The Vera family have a tough few weeks coming up. This weekend, Brandon Vera returns to action against Tim Sylvia at UFC 77: Hostile Territory. On November 17th, his wife, will be taking on an equally tough opponent in a Muay Thai bout.

Kerry Vera is due to fight Julie Kitchen in Bournemouth, U.K.. Vera will have her hands full at the Battle in Bournemouth event. Julie Kitchen, who fights out of the Touchgloves camp in Cornwall, is one of the most successful women in British Muay Thai.

Kerry Vera appeared in the Fight Girls reality TV series which aired in the United States. Brandon Vera made a guest appearance in the series. The show was criticised by many. A common accusation was that the contestants were picked on the basis of looks as much as their will to fight. Kerry Vera certainly showed fighting ability and, in the final episode filmed in Thailand, she knocked out her opponent.
