Boxing Manufacturer Moves into MMA

Despite the constant sniping between leading figures in Mixed Martial Arts and Boxing, it seems that some companies are happy to work in both sports.
Lonsdale have become the official supplier of Mixed Martial Arts competition gloves to Cage Wars mixed martial arts events. Lonsdale are the first major boxing manufacturer to enter into the MMA arena.
“Lonsdale gloves are second to none” said Jonny Burrows Cage Wars spokesman, “The quality a world class combat glove manufacturer like Lonsdale bring to the sport of MMA is truly amazing and we are very honoured that they have chosen Cage Wars to introduce their new MMA products.”
Many of the worlds MMA stars along with most well known Boxing competitors use Lonsdale equipment every day in their basic training. MMA is the fastest growing sport in the world today with an estimated 300 million worldwide fans which increases every year. This is a new growth market for Lonsdale and the Cage Wars live events are the perfect place to showcase these new products.
Cage Wars are the largest MMA organisation in Ireland and are part of the G4 group who are the largest MMA promotion group in Europe with live events in Holland, Finland, Switzerland, Scotland, UK and Ireland. The gloves will be used in the latest Cage Wars event on Sat 20th Oct at the Kings Hall in Belfast: Cage Wars: Northern Ireland vs The USA. |
