Vitor Belfort Wants Rampage Jackson

Fresh from his tight points victory over James Zikic at Cage Rage 23: Unbelievable, Vitor Belfort has been talking about what he wants to do next. In an ideal world, he would love a crack at UFC Light Heavyweight king Quinton "Rampage" Jackson, but a fight with Robbie Lawler seems more likely.
Belfort told Tatame.com that his “big wish” was to fight Rampage. He went on to say:
"EliteXC that´s buying all the events, made a proposal for me to go to a lower category to face Robbie Lawler and fight for the big belt. Me and Spike, we are taking a careful look at this proposal of lowering my weight, getting this belt from Robbie Lawler."
A Vitor Belfort versus Quinton "Rampage" Jackson match seems highly unlikely. The UFC Light Heavyweight division is stacked with talent and there are many appealing opponents for the champion to pick from. A clash with Robbie Lawler is more likely, but Belfort would have to drop to Middleweight for this to happen. |
