Cage Rage 24 Card Takes Shape

With the dust still settling on Cage Rage 23: Unbelievable, the London based promotion are already putting together the card for Cage Rage 24: Feel the Pain on December 1st 2007. There are still plenty of slots to be filled, but the fights announced already include a number of mouth watering domestic clashes.

Crack wrestler Abdul Mohamed is to set to fight Cage Rage favourite Robbie Olivier.

Two of Olivier’s Cage Rage victims will clash when Brad Pickett fights Ronnie Mann. Both men have good reputations as strikers and have also developed impressive ground skills. Ronnie Mann lost to Robbie Olivier by way of unanimous decision at Cage Rage 22: Hard as Hell in July.

Mark Epstein will also be hoping to bounce back from a loss Cage Rage 22: Hard as Hell in a match against Tom Watson. Epstein, from the famous London Shootfighters team, is a Cage Rage legend. His all action style often results in a KO one way or the other.

A man on his way to becoming a Cage Rage legend is Neil Grove. His two appearances at the Wembley Arena have lasted a grand total of 44 seconds. On his Wembley debut at Cage Rage 22: Hard as Hell, he only needed ten seconds to KO James Thompson with a wild display of punching. His second appearance, at Cage Rage 23: Unbelievable was a much longer affair as Grove took 34 seconds to account for Domagoj Ostojic.

At Cage Rage 24: Feel the Pain, Grove will fight Robert "Buzz" Berry. Punters should be advised not to blink as Buzz is another fighter who does not believe in hanging around. Berry has not fought since being defeated by UFC vet Colin Robinson in a slugfest at Total Combat 19 in February. The all action Buzz will trade punches with anyone, regardless of their size. This promises to be the most exciting clash of the evening. On previous form, it is doubtful the judges will be needed to make a decision.

TUF 3 star Ross Pointon returns to Wembley after breaking a long losing streak with a win over Dean Bray at Cage Rage 22: Hard as Hell. He will have his hands full against Marius Zaromskis, who beat Ross Mason on the same card. Cage Rage will be delighted that Evangelista Santos has signed to fight for them again. He has featured in some of the most memorable fights in Cage Rage history. Cyborg will fight the in form Paul Cahoon.

One of the most intriguing fights so far announced is the Heavyweight contest between former kickboxer James McSweeney and Polish sumo wrestler Robert Paczkow. Cage Rage like to throw the odd off the wall match onto a card and pitting a sumo wrestler against a Kickboxer certainly falls into that category.

The card for Cage Rage 24: Feel the Pain has a number of blank spaces to be filled before December. At Cage Rage 23: Unbelievable, promoters O’Donnell and Geer dropped hints that Charles "Krazy Horse" Bennett could be heading over the pond as part of their tie up with Elite XC. This is not yet confirmed.
