IFO Champ Stripped of Title

More steroid related controversy hit the MMA circuit this week as International Fight Organisation champion Eric Payne appeared before the Nevada State Athletic Commission after failing a drugs test following his July 7th fight with Brandon Shelton on the International Fighting Organization: Eastman vs Kimmons card.
Payne, who won the bout tested positive for the steroid Stanozolol metabolite, and received a 9-month suspension, $4,000 fine, and had his victory changed by unanimous decision of the NSAC hearing commission to a “No Contest”. With the charges being upheld by the NSAC event promoter Richard Steele confirmed that Payne has been officially stripped of his title. |
