GCM Tournament Semi's Confirmed

On Tuesday 31 July, the Japanese organisation GCM (Greatest Common Multiple) held a press conference promoting their forthcoming Greatest Common Multiple: Cage Force 4 event on September 8th. The show will feature the Semi Finals of their ongoing Welterweight and Lightweight Tournaments.
In the Welterweight tourney, Dan Hardy (Roughouse Gym, Nottingham, UK) will take on Hidetaka Monma (Wajyutsu Keisyukai A-3). Hardy, the reigning Cage Warriors Welterweight champ, earned his place in the semis with a unanimous points win over King of Pancrase Daizo Ishige at the end of May.
In the other semi final Akira Kikuchi (KILLER BEE) faces Yoshiyuki Yoshida (Tokyo Yellow Mans)
Former Shooto Middleweight Champion Kikuchi will start as clear favourite, but he faces a stiff test. Yoshiyuki Yoshida defeated Aussie Matt Cain in the quarter final with an impressive first round stoppage by way of ground and pound.
Koutetsu Boku (KILLER BEE) fights Eiji Mitsuoka (Wajyutsu Keisyukai RJW) in the Lightweight tournament with the other semi final, between Tomonari Kanomata and Artur Oumakhanov, postponed until October. |
