SUN Announces Team Brazil Captain Marco Ruas

MMA Star to Headline Team Brazil in Art of War 3.

SUN Sports & Entertainment Inc., A Publicly Traded Company, announced today that SUN's Art Of War 3, Undisputed Arena Fighting Championships, has selected Brazilian Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) star Marco Ruas as Captain of Team BRAZIL MMA.

Marco Ruas, known as the "King of the Streets," is recognized as one of the most well rounded fighters in the world. He has championed many great fighters including Oleg Taktarov, Gary "Big Daddy" Goodridge, Remco Pardoel and others. He is also the proud teacher and mentor of Pedro Rizzo, who is currently one of the top ranked heavyweights in the world and the Main Event Champion. He has also trained many other charismatic fighters including the highly respected Bas Rutten.

Marco Ruas' list of accomplishments include: Four Time Brazilian Thai Boxing Champion, Brazilian Rio de Janeiro Boxing Champion, Brazilian Rio de Janeiro Judo Champion, Undisputed Vale Tudo Brazilian Champion, Champion of The Ultimate Fighting Championship 7.

Marco Ruas displayed very impressive striking and grappling skills in the UFC 7. In this event he defeated four fighters in the classic tournament mode. He had a great strategic fight against the Dutch fighter Remco Pardoel. Then for the championship he battled the 6'8" Paul Varleans. In this fight fans saw some of the best striking yet to be seen in the UFC. Marco ultimately took the big man down with a number of painful kicks to the thigh, which since then has become a large part of the stand-up fight.

Marco teaches his brand of mixed martial arts called "Ruas Vale Tudo."
