Injury Report - NSAC Medical Suspensions for UFC 71: Liddell vs Jackson II

The Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) has released their official results report for UFC 71: Liddell vs Jackson II. The report includes the medical suspensions handed down by the NSAC as a result of Saturday night's bouts. A medical suspension is normal for a fighter who has taken a significant amount of damage in a match. A NSAC medical suspension applies worldwide to all combat sports.
For entertainment purposes, all names have been listed here as they appear on the official results report.
The following fighters have been medically suspended from competition until 6/26/07, with no contact ordered until 6/17/07.
Keith Jardine (Albuquerque, NM) has been medically suspended from competition until 7/26/07, with no contact ordered until 7/12/07.
Ivan Salaverry (Seattle, WA) suffered a shoulder injury. Salaverry must have his shoulder cleared with a doctor, or have the required surgery, or he cannot compete again until 11/23/07. At a minimum, Salaverry has been medically suspended from competition until 6/26/07, with no contact ordered until 6/17/07.
Karo Parisyan (Van Nuys, CA) suffered an injury to his left thumb. Parisyan must have his thumb x-rayed and cleared by a doctor, or have the required surgery, or he cannot compete again until 11/23/07.
James Irvin (Sacramento, CA) suffered a right knee injury. Irvin must have his knee cleared by a doctor, or have the required surgery, or he cannot compete again until 11/23/07.
The following fighters made it through UFC 71 without serious injury, and have been medically cleared to resume training and competing immediately.
