Brock Lesnar Fight Confirmed for Saturday

K-1 have confirmed that a replacement opponent for WWE legend Brock Lesnar has been found and the fight will be going ahead as planned this Saturday at K-1: Dynamite USA. The last-minute match-up is as a result of the original scheduled opponent, the 7'2" Choi Hong Man failing his medical examination due to a tumour which was discovered in his head last week. The new opponent has been confirmed as fellow Korean Kim Min Soo, who is a regular fighter on the Hero's MMA circuit - often facing insurmountable odds against far more experienced opponents such as Bob Sapp, Don Frye and Semy Schilt. 115kg Kim Min Soo's record is hardly impressive at 2-6-0, but he does have experience against world-class athletes on his side, whilst Brock Lesnar is making his MMA debut and will be reliant on his wrestling background coupled with his new-found MMA skills to win out. However, for most fans they don't actually care who the opponent is - they just want to see if Brock Lesnar can throw down, and if a WWE poster boy can hold his own in the MMA arena. Saturday night will certainly answer that question one way or the other! |
