It has just been confirmed that Cage Rage British Middleweight Champion Mark Weir will fight at the next Pride Bushido.

Weir’s opponent will be one of the “Four Aces of Bushido”, Ryo Chonan.

Weir earned his Pride debut after a devastating series of wins. Mark clinched the Cage Rage Title by beating the highly talented ex-boxer Sol Gilbert at Cage Rage 12: The Real Deal. Weir then taught Kyosuke Sasaki a punishing lesson in striking at Cage Rage 13: No Fear and then took out Japanese Pride Fighting legend, Akira Shoji in only seven seconds at Cage Rage 14: Punishment.

Ryo Chonan is a tough but great match-up for Mark Weir. Hopefully we will see another Brit ripping-up in the World’s biggest MMA organisation.
