Newly signed UFC heavyweight Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira will make his octagon debut against "Texas Crazy Horse" Heath Herring at UFC 73: Stacked.

Nogueira, known as "Big Nog" and "Minotauro", was an overseas star in PRIDE, compiling a 29-4-1 record while facing international stars such as Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic and Josh Barnett. He also went the distance twice with Fedor Emelianenko, largely considered the world's No. 1 heavyweight, though he lost both bouts by decision. He owns a previous win over Herring, defeating him via submission in June 2004. Herring is 1-1 in UFC, suffering an upset loss to Jake O'Brien in his January debut before winning a decision over Brad Imes at UFC 69: Shootout.

The UFC 73: Stacked card appears to be stacking up quickly, as it also boasts two title bouts: UFC middleweight champ Anderson Silva in his first title defense against Nate Marquardt, and lightweight champ Sean Sherk taking on Hermes Franca. In addition, Rashad Evans] puts his perfect 15-0 record on the line against Tito Ortiz.

The event will take place in Sacramento's Arco Arena.
