Royce Gracie vs Kazushi Sakuraba - Rumour

As if this year could not get better, however im not too sure if people want to see Royce Gracie fight Kazushi Sakuraba in 2007. Possibly in 2003 in a single match, but 2007 it would just be another freek show like so many of the match ups we have seen this past year. Royce is not in the calibar of todays MMA fighters and a lost to Sak would just help Sak's name as the Gracie Killer get etched in stone. Who the f**k next are they going to throw at him?
Sakaraba's spin injury it has been reported is concern for the Nevada State Athletic Commission and the injury has caused him to faint during training. I think as a precaution this match should not take place. If the NSAC main concern is the protection of the fighter and not gate reciepts they should do the right thing as should the promoters EliteXC.
According to MMACalifornia and subsiquently reported on Graciemag.com, the State of California Athletic Commission has announced the possibility of a battle between Royce Gracie and Kazushi Sakuraba at the June 2nd EliteXC event.
