Cage Rage Announce Landmark U.S. Television Deal

Speaking at the recent K-1 / Pro Elite press conference, Cage Rage’s co-promoters Dave O’Donnell and Andy Geer announced that they have secured a television deal in the USA.

This is a wicked counter-punch to the UFC’s invasion of the UK. The UFC have moved to Britain for a series of shows which would eventually try and roll over the home-grown event. However, now the UFC have to watch Cage Rage don’t use their new TV deal as a Trojan Horse to make their own mark on the North American market.

Cage Rage will be aired in the USA from their next event on April 21st . You may notice from the date that Cage Rage 21: Judgement Day coincides with UFC 70: Nations Collide.

Although Dave and Andy remained tight lipped on which network will be doing the honours, the logical answer is TV host for the newly formed “Alliance” Showtime Entertainment.

The pair of promoters side-stepped questions on Cage Rage’s rumoured acquisition by K-1 with the remark “Never say never.”
