Pride 34 First Bouts

Pride Fighting Championships have announced the first bouts for their April 8th event, Pride 34: Kamikaze.
Submissions wizard, Shinya Aoki, will fight Dutchman Brian Lo A Njoe, who will be making his Pride debut. Also making his Pride debut is Croatian super-striker Zelg Galesic. Galesic will be taking on Sydney Olympic Games Judo Gold Medallist, Makoto Takimoto. Ricardo Arona gets the chance to avenge his fallen team mate when he fights Team Quests meteoric new star Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou. Arona told Brazilian news source Tatame: “I asked to face him. Minotouro is like my brother, I want to revenge him. I want to see how it will be against this guy” Rumoured bouts are Kazuyuki Fujita vs Jeff Monson, who was originally scheduled to fight at BodogFight: Clash of Nations. The bout that was prevented from happening in the USA, Sergei Kharitonov vs Gilbert Yvel, will happen in Japan. Roman Zentsov vs Brian Davis also looks to be good to go. And finally, you cant beat a good side-show bout, and 34 has got one of the best. King of the Four Rounders, 380lb Eric “Butterbean” Esch vs the gargantuan son of Rei Zulu, Zuluzinho. |
