Overeem Eyes ADCC Championships

MMA Universe Sponsored Fighter Alistair Overeem is famed for his blazing stand-up and his air raid knee strikes. But over the past few years "The Demolition Man" has been working to bring his ground game up to the same world class standard as his striking.

Alistair Overeem won a place at the ADCC 2005 World Championships but was unable to compete due to Pride FC commitments. In 2007 the Dutchman hopes to again win this the ADCC European Qualifiers, earn his spot in the finals and hopefully go all the way to win the premier submission grappling competition in the world.

The ADCC European Qualifiers will be held on March 23rd in Turku Finland. In the mean time Overeem will be going head to head with Chute Boxe star Mauricio "Shogun" Rua in one of the most exciting prospects on this weekend’s Pride 33: The Second Coming card.
