Last Minute Shuffle for Pride 33

Last week, the Nevada State Athletic Commission denied Gilbert Yvel a fighters licence on the grounds that Yvel assaulted a referee at an event in Holland.

This has left Russian Top Team’s Sergei Kharitonov without an opponent for this weekends highly anticipated Pride 33: The Second Coming event.

Stepping to the plate as a last minute replacement for Yvel is American underdog Michael Russow. Not so much is known about Russow, apart from he is 6’2”,120kg and is causing a stir in some of the minor leagues. He is a quick starter and explosive destructive fighter.

In other last minute news Kazuhiro Nakamura has been forced to pull out of his fight against Travis Wiuff due to an injured left knee. Pride are believed to be working hard to find a replacement.
