Cage Warriors Take Legal Action Against Wolverhampton Civic Hall

Due to the way in which Wolves Civic cancelled the event, Showdown 3, and the fact that we had already paid deposits on venue and had already put tickets on sale at their box office, and spent considerable time and money on this event. Warrior Promotions have decided to take legal action against Wolvehampton Civic Hall to recover the loses we have sustained due to their actions.
The local papers have been in touch with regards to this, their story is somewhat confused and the amount is not as much as what they state, also as everyone knows fighters do not get paid in advance. I would like to know though what you think about a promotion taking legal action of this nature. We do not take this decision lightly but months of planning have gone into this, and this time could have been put into another venue. Also many fighters have been putting in extra training and time to prepare for this event, and its time people realised that MMA is here to stay and were not about o be bullied by local councils. |
