2nd WEC 25 Fighter Tests Positive

WEC 25 Featherweight Title contender Joe Pearson has been picked up by the Nevada State Athletic Commission for having the narcotic ingredient of Marijuana in his system.
Of the six fighters tested Rob McCullough, Rich Crunkilton, Mike Joy and Urijah Faber passed. Kit Cope tested positive for the performance enhancing steroid Boldenone, and Pearson tested positive for the less performance enhancing drug Delta-9- Tetrahydrocannabinol Carboxylic Acid, more commonly abbreviated to THC. Allegidly the results also showed that Pearson had dangerously high levels of Pringles in his system. As usual for NSAC test failures, Joe Pearson is entitled to defend his case in font of an NSAC board, or face the penalty which is customarily a fine and six month suspension. |
