CSAC Approves the Ring for Mixed Martial Arts

The State of California has finally approved the use of roped rings for Mixed Martial Arts competition.

This is great news for organisations like Pride and the IFL, who have battled for a year and a half to use this type of fighting arena in the Golden State.

This ruling has come in time for the IFL’s 2007 opener in Oakland California. The International Fight League: Tiger Sharks vs Condors will take place this Friday at the Oracle Arena and will be headlined by Jeremy Horn vs Falaniko Vitale

The California State Athletic Commission will hold an informational meeting on January 31st in Los Angelis to address the subject in more detail.
