UFC 66 on Japanese TV this NYE

In news that will make Pride FC sick, UFC 66 will now be available to most Japanese TV viewers this New Years Eve.
UFC events are currently being broadcasted in Japan by the satellite company WOWOW, a hitherto minority Satellite TV station. However, the big news is that WOWOW will now be available to all SkyPerfectTV customers, the same satellite company that hosts Pride’s Pay Per View events. Although the UFC will most likely stand in a very distant third after K-1 Dynamite and Pride Shockwave in terms of Japanese viewing figures, it’s presence alone will be an added strain to an already under pressure Pride. |
