Cage Gladiators in the Liverpool Echo

CAGE GLADIATORS returns to the Liverpool Olympia this Sunday with another action packed show, featuring some of Britain's top MMA fighters.
Top of the bill is the Wavertree wonder kid Terry Etim, defending his British lightweight title against London veteran Sami Berik. Etim won the belt in September at the Olympia and most ranked fighters are giving him a wide berth due to his perfect 8-0 record. Tipped for big things in 2007, he refused to take his eye off the prize this weekend, saying: "First I want to defend my belt in front of a packed Liverpool crowd, I'm 100% focused."
Also on the bill is the return of Liverpool cage fighting pioneer Paul Cahoon, returning after a year absence to face Lithuanian tough-guy Nikolajus Cilkinas, in what promises to be a tear up. As well as another title fight, local fighters Carl Morgan, James Gladden, Kevin Axworthy and Danny Levelle also feature. |
