Could you tell us a bit about your Martial Arts background?

I have been training MMA since 1999. I had a three year break from the MMA scene between 2000 and 2003. During the break I discovered the fun in  Muay Thai.

What got you started in MMA?

I wanted to do some Thaiboxing at first but Northern Sweden, were I lived for a couple of years, didn’t have any Muay Thai. So, then I could choose between Shootfighting (Amateur MMA) which were a new and cool sport, Judo or Tae Kwon Do.

I Don’t like a Gi, and don’t like points so, MMA got a new member.

How long have you been training in MMA?

About three years.. Or is it four?

What/Who has been your most significant influence in Martial Arts?

Have to go with August Wallen there. He was the one who introduced me to the sport and he is the one pushing our team forward.

How would you describe your fighting style?

It depends whom I am fighting. I like striking but I'm well rounded fighter.

Do you have any favourite techniques?

Left hook, or overhand right he he, mount with ground and pound! (Is that a technique?) As long as I’m not on the bottom I favour any technique.

Who do you train with?

I train with a lot of guys. None of them are as well known as Silva, Shogun or Couture. But to name a few we have my headcoach, Joachim Lundgren, he and a guy, Petter, are the technique freaks on our school. Then we have Thomas Valentin, Kristian Helde and Kristian Lexell, who train on a higher level with me. But we do have a lot of skilled people to train with and I can’t name them all.

What is your greatest fighting memory?

Training with Randy Couture was awesome! And so was training with Murilo Ninja and Dean Lister. But I have to say my first Vale Tudo fight. It was in my hometown and I had a lot of support. Damn, it was nice being stuck in the middle with my opponent.

Do I have to say I won the fight?

Who would you like to fight the most?

Doesn’t matter as long as I can beat their sorry asses.. he he, to be honest, I don’t know. Would like to fight as many as possible!

What are your ambitions for the future?

To win. Whatever I do, I want to be successful!

Anything to add?

Nope!
