On December 9th you will be Facing Quinton "Rampage" Jackson. You were the person to hand Rampage his first defeat in MMA. Since then Quinton has fought and beaten the best in his weight division. Will this re-match be the toughest fight in your career?

Yes it will be! Coz Rampage is a great fighter and in my opinion top five 205lb-ers in the world.

How are you preparing for this fight?

With multiple styles of fighters. Rampage can adapt his game to all style of fighters and I have to be prepared for anything with a great fighter like Quinton. But conditioning is the key to defeating him.

Quinton beat Chuck Liddell several years ago in Japan using his wrestling skills to neutralise Chuck’s strikes. Since you are a talented striker. Do you think Quinton will take every opportunity to take the fight to the ground?

Yes I am a wrestler first then a striker second people seem to forget that, but its OK so he may need to watch for my shoots because that is instinct for me, not something I just learned.

If you don’t mind me asking? How much money are you getting paid for this fight?

Not nearly enough for the calibre of fighter that Rampage is? One quarter of what he will make!

You were scheduled to face tough Judoka Kazuhiro Nakamura at Pride 32: The Real Deal. However, due to a contractual dispute with the World Fighting Alliance you were unable to compete at the show. How did you feel about the whole situation?

Like I got robbed of an opportunity to make a name for myself and $25,000 in sponsorship money lost.

How many fights are you contracted to with the WFA promotion?

After I fight rampage only one more and it is of the most important that I win all the fights that I have for my future ($s) and because I hate to lose.

Will we see “The Beastman” in the Pride ring in the future?

YES, YES, YESSSSS!!! THAT IS FOR SURE!!!
