This one was a great battle with Andy Walker content with a ground and pound strategy while Alex concentrated on submitting Andy this was a three round battle with Andy Walker winning by Unanimous Decision
Dave Lee Vs Rick Andrews
Ricky started the first round swinging at Dave Lee closing the distance Ricky was able to get a Takedown but only to his own demise as Dave Lee caught Ricky in a triangle choke straight away Ricky tried to slam his way out but it was too late
This was a very fast fight with Dave Lee, representing Ze Marcello BJJ
Crowned the winner after 43 seconds of the first round
Robert Berry Vs Andy Harby
In this the first of our heavyweight wars Andy Harby was seriously out gunned from the outset as Robert Berry Launched into strikes Andy did well for a while but the onslaught proved to much. Robert Berry wins by ref stoppage at 2 minutes 51 seconds of the first round
Brad Pickett Vs Chris Freebourne
Brad Started as expected after a flamboyant entrance he launched into a barrage of strikes only for Freeborn to take him down on the ground it was Freeborn that showed dominance by countering every attempt at striking from Brad Freeborn soon forced a cut and some swelling above Brads Right eye. The second round was much of the same with Freeborn going to ground dominating Brad this time Chris was Able to force a triangle choke where he was able to strike Brad at will Sinking in his triangle until the ref stopped it at
3 minutes 20 seconds of the second round.
Andy Costello Vs Daniel Burzotta
This was going to prove to be a fantastic fight as both men have international status in completely different styles Daniel was Captain of the British Jui Jitsu team and Andy was captain of the British Judo team. In a confliction of ground fighting styles it was Daniels’ that proved the most successful
Andy came out throwing big shots and was able to win the takedown this was the start of a ground and pound strategy that Andy has adapted to but Daniel was unfazed and was able to work an armbar forcing Andy to tap at
2 minutes 38 seconds of the first round.
Leigh Remedios Vs Jean Silva
This was to be another three round battle with both men seeming well matched they spent a lot of the first round in a clinch both striking when the opportunity arrived With Jean Silva trying a cartwheel guard pass at one point both fighters demonstrated skill and respect for one another as they fought and quite fairly at the end of three rounds it was called a draw Jean Silva still remains Cage Rage Lightweight world title holder.
Sami Berik Vs Jeremy Bailey
Sami seemed to dominate the initial striking and took Jeremy to the ground where he seemed to take control picking his strikes Sami soon moved for a submission attempting an armbar but Jeremy countered throwing some nice shots whilst finding his way back to his feet Jeremy kicked Sami to the head in an illegal move Jeremy was instantly apologetic and shook Samis hand before being deducted a point the fight was restarted and both men again traded until the bell sounded. The second round began the same as the first with Berik winning the takedown and being the more dominant on the ground both men found there feet again clinched against the side of the cage where Jeremy executed a lovely belly to belly suplex Jeremy seemed to have found his game when the bell sounded. Third round and it was Sami who again took control straight away with Jeremy trying to force a guillotine only for Sami to slip out they exchanged again but the bell soon sounded with Berik taking the win on a judges decision after three rounds.
Antony Rea Vs Evangelista Santos
Cyborg opened the round with a big onslaught of punches that forced Rea to his back foot but Anthony was able to win a takedown where he began to strike down on Cyborg picking his shots, after an illegal accidental elbow by Anthony Rea both men were stood up but Rea could see victory and continued his onslaught taking Cyborg down he used the Knee ride to control his opponent while striking Cyborg was defending intelligently and the ref jumped in to stop the fight at 1 minute 55 seconds of the first round.
Mark Weir Vs Gabriel Santos
This was going to prove to be very frustrating night for Mark Weir as the smaller stocky Brazilian was able to impose his will forcing Mark to the ground for the majority of three rounds Mark only seemed to put Gladiator in to trouble when he was on his feet which was unfortunately not very often Gladiator wins by Judges Decision
Jorge Rivera Vs Alex Reid
In this fight it was bounded around that most people expected it to end quickly and by way of knockout and those people were not disappointed. Both guys began the first round trading strikes but Rivera seemed to be the more dominant forcing Reid to cover up against the cage after a few shots Jorge hit Alex with a shot that sunk Reid to the canvas Jorge Rivera seemed to be ice cold in his execution of this knockout Jorge Rivera wins by KO at 41 seconds of the first round.
Melvin Manhoef Vs Matthias Riccio
Both these men are big guys and they are both well known for there striking ability’s
And it started just as predicted with both men throwing crisp powerful punches but it was Manhoef who seemed to have the better game getting a Muay Thai clinch and throwing some big knees Manhoef eventually threw the winning punch knocking out Riccio against the cage. At 3 minutes of the first round.
Curtis Stout Vs Sol Gilbert
This was going to be another battle of the strikers as both men opened the round trading shots with Sol looking the sharper puncher Curtis soon got the takedown and began to ground and pound but Sol defended well and the end of the round soon came. The second round started and both men began trading but Sol made the mistake of dropping his guard as he advanced towards Stout and Stout threw a devastating left hook that knocked Sol out cold. Curtis Stout wins by KO at 20 seconds of the second round.
Renato Sobral Vs Pierre Guillet
Babalu came into the cage looking as though he was going to take the fight personally pacing up and down the cage both men began by trading with Babalu forcing the takedown against the cage where he began to strike Pierre seemed to defend trying to get back to his feet but Babalu kept the fight on the ground and quickly ended it with a barrage of strikes that forced Pierre to tap at 1 minute 57 seconds of the first round.
