October 18th, in Vilnius, at Forum Palace club balsas.lt the MMA tournament Real Fight 6 took place.
The fights for Lithuania MMA Champion Belt in light heavyweight (up to 93 kg) category were the main accent of the evening. Four famous fighters fought for this title: Baltic States MMA Champion Valdas Pocevicius (Mazeikiai), Europe Fights without Rules Champion, World Kickboxing Champion Sergej Maslobojev (Klaipeda), the winner of international tournaments Rimgaudas Kutkaitis (Plunge) and the Champion of England Professional Muay Thai League, Europe Kickboxing Champion Arunas Andriuskevicius (London).
In the first semi-final the tournament's favourite V. Pocevicius and perspective fighter S. Maslobojev met. This was the most interesting fight of the evening. During the first round the fight went in standing position. Maslobojev being higher than his opponent spared well from the distance. He also great defended from physically stronger Pocevicius in the clinch. However in the second round Pocevicius succeed to bring Maslobojev down and while being on top of him tried to knock-down him, but the latter withstood. After two rounds the dilemma for referees arisen – to whom the victory should be given. It was decided to have an extra round. During extra round both fighters were very careful and did not risk. After the referees' and audience exhortations the fighters became more active. Once the fight was finished, all the referees by a solid vote gave the victory to S. Maslobojev, who was a bit more active.
In the second semi-final R. Kutkaitis and A. Andriuskevicius met. The hard fight had been expected, but everything worked out very quickly. After several Andriuskevicius' strikes, R. Kutkaitis drop him down and started striking on the head. A. Andriuskevicius has missed several strikes and underneath his eye the blooding wound opened. The referee stopped the fight and after the medical exam the further fight has been prohibited.
The final fight for the Champion Belt wasn't long. Already at the beginning of the first round R. Kutkaitis brought Maslobojev down into the parter, but made a mistake and the opponent has twisted him an arm. The Champion Belt went to Sergej Maslobojev.
The same evening the fights according to the MMA, Muay Thai and grappling rules also took place. Most of the fights were really dynamic and arisen huge acclamation of the audience.
Especially wild reactions attained the fight according to the MMA rules. In the weight category up to 76 kg Vaidas Valancius (Kaunas) and Arunas Jurgelenas (Utena) were fighting. During this very tough fight both fighters were very active and did spare neither their selves nor each other. Valancius with better strikes had an over poise in standing fight. A.Jurgelenas tried to put the fight into the parter, but every time he turned into the worse position. First two rounds were hard. The fight finished in the beginning of the third round. V. Valancius drop down the opponent and with several strong strikes on his head sent him into knockdown.
In weigh category up to 84 kg Tadas Levickas from Vilnius and Jonas Povilavicius from Kaunas met. From the very beginning both of the fighters attacked lively. In the middle of the first round fighters fell on the ground. Here T.Levickas, having more experience in MMA fights, took and remained the better position till the end of the round. Levickas tried to hit on the opponent's head all the time. At one moment he tried to make the strangulation, but did not succeed and returned to the strikes. After the first round J. Povilavicius refused to continue the fight and the victory by technical knockdown went to T. Levickas.

Euro Thai fight (up to 67 kg): Arvydas Trizno ("Galaktika A", Klaipeda) in the first round knocked down Pavel Bachanov ("Vendetta", Vilnius).
Grappling fight (up to 84 kg): Mindaugas Verzbickas (Ukmerge Judo Club) and Sergey Bigisev ("Vendetta", Vilnius). The fight of two rounds finished in a draw.
Muay Thai fight (up to 75 kg): Andrius Laugalys ("Vendetta", Vilnius) by the decision of referees won over Mindaugas Baranauskas ("Titanas", Kaunas).
Euro Thai fight (up to 80 kg): Nerijus Bielskus ("Vendetta", Vilnius) in the second round by technical knockout won over Audrius Sarpnickas ("Titanas", Kaunas).
Muay Thai fight (up to 75 kg): Edvardas Norkeliunas ("Titanas", Kaunas) by the decision of referees won over Ernestas Dapkus ("Herkus", Siauliai).
Euro Thai fight (up to 91 kg): Sigitas Striuga ("Rings", Vilnius) by the decision of referees won over Igor Boruch ("Galaktika A", Klaipeda).
Euro Thai fight (over 91 kg): Martynas Knyzelis ("Titanas", Kaunas) by technical knockout defeated Gediminas Linka ("Impulsas", Utena).
The following "Real Fights" tournament will be on December 13th. The fighters will meet for 70 kg weight category Championship Belt.
