Cage Fighters Championships is quickly becoming a force to be reckoned with and there 5th show Cage Fighters Championship: Sudden Impact was one of the most exciting nights of fights so far this year with a card of two halves both Amateur and professional fighters had the opportunity to show their skills both on the ground and upright by far the fight of the night was Henrique Santana versus Yasubey Enomoto as they both showed of their phenomenal Jujitsu skills.

Co main event was a British Middleweight title bout between submission wrestler Darren Guisha and Tsunami fighter Jack Mason, this fight in some ways was marred by a controversial referee decision that did not soil the fact that this was a war that favored Masons ability to control his opponent after a takedown that saw Mason make the transitions around Guishas defense.

The second round started much the same with Guisha a little more aggressive he was able to attempt a guillotine submission that Mason avoided before moving to work for a guillotine choke of his own which got tighter around the neck of Guisha forcing him to tap half way through the second round this saw Jack Mason take the belt and title of CFC British Middleweight Champion.

Winner Jack Mason 2.45 of Round 2 via Submission Guillotine choke.

James Cochrane versus Wayne Weaver was an exciting fight between two huge heavyweights both men looked on one another with serious intent and as the ref started the bout Cochrane flew at Weaver but was met with a barrage of punches coming at him knocking the heavier Cochrane to his back before Weaver finished his opponent by landing a vicious shot that saw Cochrane’s nose broken and the fight over this was another quick win for Weaver that his army of fans seemed to relish in.

Winner Wayne Weaver 46 Seconds of round 1 via Ground and Pound.

One of the biggest globally recognized names to compete on the card was Rodney Glunder who was fighting to take home the coveted CFC World light Heavyweight title which he seemed to do comfortably. his opponent was Lithuania’s very own Arnoldas Joknys who had little to offer as Glunder began the fight with a flying knee which seemed to ignite the crowd, Glunder followed up with some punches before taking his fighter to ground where he quickly secured mount position and from their he completed his demolition of the Lithuanian with a barrage of punches and elbows which forced the ref to step in and call a halt to the action which saw Glunder take the crown as the CFCs newest addition to their light heavyweight roster as World Champion.

Winner Rodney Glunder 2.42 of round 2 via Ground n Pound.

This was easily fight of the night as Team Titan’s very own Brazilian jujitsu Black belt Henrique Santana and Swiss fighter Yasubey Enomoto fought for the vacant CFC World welterweight title. To go through this fight step by step would be difficult at best but in an overview Santana was able to win a takedown early and at one point was able to work his way to the back of Yasubey who was able to avoid any attempts Henrique had at sinking a rear naked choke, the fight soon turned and Yasubey was able to use an excellent rubber guard where he was able to work a tight triangle choke that seemed to be locking in but it seemed to little to late as the bell for the end of the 1st round sounded out across the arena.

The second round was similar to the first with Santana scoring an early takedown landing inside the guard of Yasubey where again the Swiss fighter showed great ability in using the rubber guard to control his opponent firing the odd elbow or punch from his back all the while looking for a submission to present itself. The third round seemed to be all Yasubey, as the fight went to ground Yasubey looked to catch his opponent with a Kimura that forced Henrique to roll allowing Yasubey to make the transition to mount where he began to fire shots forcing Santana to give his back but Yasubey was unable to secure the coke and the fighters were eventually stood back up, again Henrique tried to take the fight to ground but his efforts were thwarted to end the round. It seemed a quick decisive decision as Yasubey Enomoto took victory to be awarded the title of CFC World Welterweight Champion.

One of the quickest submissions of the night came when Steve Moulton quickly and easily defeated Sam Mills who was forced to tap out from a guillotine choke sunk in from a mount position in only 51 seconds of amateur action.

Winner Steve Moulton 51 Seconds of Round 1 via Submission Guillotine Choke.

European Heavyweight Champion Karlos Vermola seems to be determined to shake up the heavyweight division across the UK as he racked up his 5th win in an ambush of strikes that saw his opponent Markus Hipp knocked to the ground after some more shots it was clear that Hipp was in trouble as he seemed to complain about an injury caused to his shoulder.

Winner Karlos Vermola at 15 Seconds of Round 1 via Ground and Pound.

It was a good night for Tommy Maguire as he scored a judges victory over Mark Harrison. In what was pretty much a three round battle with Tommy initiating the takedown then striking his opponent at every opportunity. The fight continued like this and Tommy had done more than enough to earn him the judge’s decision and win for his record.

Winner Tommy McGuire Round 3 via judge’s decision
