This is Schilling's MMA debut, Makowski is from Philadelphia. I smell package deal in the Elite XC contract negotiations! They're letting about 30 people stand in front of the press area so I apologize in advance when it goes to the ground.
Round 1 - They touch and circle. High kick by Schilling blocked, they land a double exchange and Makowski gets more power out of it knocking Schilling down. Makowski on top in the guard, circles, gets up and back into a diving punch. He gets what looks like side mount. Can't really tell but I hope the people in front are enjoying this. Ok, Makowski has taken the back and is fighting for the choke. Schilling reverses it and gets on top, They're wrestling in half guard now, someone is on top. Something else happens. I'm staring at some guy's back. Someone's got a choke it's probably Makowski. Yep. Matt Makowski defeats Joe Schilling via some sort of choke in round 1.
Round 1 - They touch, low kick by Brett but Sergio is already gone. Brett backs Sergio up into the cage, it goes to the ground again and I'm blind. Three minutes later and Brett is on top in Sergio's guard. Sergio pulls down on the neck, the fight near the fence and the ref stands it. Brett misses a hook but lands the low kick, nice right by Sergio lands in a mixed exchange. Brett pushes the action now. Low kick but Brett spins a bit much and Sergio shoots in. Brett reverses against the fence. Brett misses the takedown. They seperate. Low by Brett, Sergio misses the counter. Brett is putting way too much into his throwing. Body shot by Sergio hits but Brett counters with a massive uppercut. They trade, Brett shoots and gets Sergio down into the guard. I'm blind again. Two of the TV producers are having a very important conversation. Sergio tries to work the fence from the bottom, light heel strikes. They're at a stalemate at the end.
Round 2 - They trade, both connect. They struggle, both miss the judo throws and go down with Brett on top. He pushes up against the fence, I think Sergio had an armbar attempt but I don't know. There's like five people in front of us. Gary Shaw where you at? We need to talk. They're back up, Sergio connects with some lunging jabs. They clinch. Sergio is tagged with two cross and tries to wing a power shot that misses. Some sort of ticker tape floats into the cage as Brett shoots and gets Sergio down. WHAT AN EVENT!!!!! Brett on top inside Sergio's guard, tries to posture and land some low shots. It gets stood up. Sergio comes in with a nice hook but I think he lost his power on the inside. Clinch, nice knee by Brett. Brett pulls guard into a choke but Sergio is up and fighting against the upkicks. Bad axe kick from Sergio as the bell sounds.
Round 3 - Fake and a shot from Brett, Sergio sprawls but Brett reverses it into the takedown. Sergio has him tied up. Looks like Brett has the mount. Nope, he was landing some good shots but now they fight for position. Both look tired. They stand. Sergio with a hook, clearly parried. Both men swinging hard and wild, visibly just taking shots. Big left hand by Brett ends the whole thing. Brett Linebarger defeats Sergio Vinagre via KO.
Talk about sudden death. Good way to end a fight. If you're both matched on the ground and confident in your striking with the bell about to ring, go all out and give the people a grand finale! My hat's off to both fighters. Sergio is attended too by a lot of people, he's up but limping. Not a bad fight.
Round 1 - They touch high, big kick by Binky misses but he is intent on striking in close. Getto circles, takes Binky down. He works for the arm, they are struggling for the arm, Binky reverses into the kimura. It's over. James "Binky" Jones defeats Mark Getto via Kimura submission in round 1.
Round 1 - They circle until Reis charges forward with a flurry and takes Zach to the mat. He's got the back, wrestles on top for a choke but can't secure. They transition over and over but Reis will NOT give up position. Zach almost flattens out but he turns giving up mount. He tries to buck Wilson off. Wilson holds the mount and lays in the occasional strike, Makovsky holds him closer. Zach bucks again and Wilson stays on back pounding away, they switch to mount and he pounds even more. Ouch. More transition and more pounding. These are some brutal shots. Wilson locks in the rear naked choke again and transitions to an armbar but Zach is blocking, he stands up and slams out of it. Wow, its left side of the arena VS right side, ALTERNATE CHANTS GOING!! This match just got much better. They stand, both reluctant to throw. Wilson fakes low, a few swings by Zach at the end.
Round 2 - They feel out, Wilson charges and eats a hook but gets Zach down. Wilson with side mount, into full but Zach holds him. There's those hellish punches again. Wilson secures a side choke. Zach taps. Wilson Reis defeats Zach Makovsky via side choke submission in round 2.
It's for the best, that was getting brutal to watch. The crowd chants for Wilson, but it was nice to see some opposition to the Philadelphia gang land out here.
Round 1 - Puzon goes right for the guillotine but Charlie tries to reverse with the single. They're sprawled out, Charlie into Drew's guard with the choke still on. Looks like he's turning it into rubber guard. Charlie reverses and gets the back but Drew gets on top into Charlie's open guard. Charlie with punches from the bottom as Drew postures to his feet against the fence. Drew has a wide vertical base, Charlie tries to reverse it but Drew holds his balance and the lock. Very impressive. More scrambling, Charlie gets the waist lock, pushes but gets on top against the fence. He can't seem to posture out of Drew's guard, he gets free but punches frantically. He holds the waist lock and brings Drew back down. Round ends with Charlie in Drew's semi-open guard.
Round 2 - Drew fans boo at the bell. Ok? Low kick and shot by Charlie, lands in half guard. They roll and Drew almost reverses but misses some pounding. Charlie lifts and reverses back on top, looking for side control. Drew closes his guard. Charlie looks to posture. Total stalemate here and the ref stands it up. More boos, Charlie punches with a big right but he eats a jab to the jaw and goes down. Drew on top and fights for position, pounds away and tries to mount the back very slowly. He gets it and starts to flatten Charlie out. He doesn't have the body triangle though...Charlie holds the arms to avoid the choke. Drew pushes against the cage, Charlie scoops the single leg and brings him down. He's in Drew's half guard and looks for some strikes. No dice at the bell.
Round 3 - They circle. I would like to point out that Mauro Ranallo is giving an introduction WHILE this fight is going on. Charlie shoots and puts Drew down, light strikes to the head and an elbow to the ribs from Charlie. He's looking for a guillotine but Drew scrambles. Ref stands it, superman punch misses by Drew. Big right hand by Charlie, Drew counters with a kick but Charlie catches it into a single leg. I'm blind again. Hi Mauro! Hi Quadros! Hi Shamrock! Charlie gets mount and tries to pound, Drew bucks but no dice. Charlie takes the back, Drew gets up and they are in the middle now. Telegraphed low kick by Drew and Charlie catches it easily for the single leg. Someone's gassed! Charlie pounds away but Drew knocks him off balance and hits a big reversal, going for the choke. Charlie shoots into a guillotine by Drew, they roll and the round ends with Drew on top.

Round 1 - They touch in the center. Both reluctant, flying punch and a low kick by Hose. Frederic misses the jab. Hose with some wild swings into the corner, they back out and Hose checks a hard leg kick from Frederic. High kick by Frederic hits air. Frederic REALLY reluctant to engage, small flurry by Hose, another flying punch. Hose stalking, telegraphed high kick by Frederic. Hose comes in low with another flurry and they trade in the clinch. Another clinch as Hose ties him up and pounds to the body. Ow. Low kick by Frederic and Hose counters by tying him up with more shots to the head and body. Hose tees off against the fence, Frederic circles out. Hard body shot by Hose. Jab by Frederic connects. Low kick by Frederic is checks, middle kick hits air. High kick by Hose and he slips, looks for upkicks while Frederic tries to dive in. Hose back up, tees off against the cage again until Frederic remembers to circle. Another low kick...WOW Hose puts his hands at his sides, walks up to Frederic, throws a right cross and KO's Frederic. I haven't done that sequence justice. Suffice to say it was an "OH S***" moment of the highest calibre. Kala Kolohe Hose defeats Frederic Belleton via KO in round 1.
Round 1 - They touch. Hot. High kick by Kedzie and Tonya IMMEDIATELY goes for the takedown, she's on top in half guard. Struggling for position against the cage, Tonya gets the back and goes for the rear naked joke. Tonya climbs up...pulls Kedzie down. Kedzie taps. Tonya Evinger defeats Julie Kedzie via rear naked choke submission in round 1.
Wow. Evinger made it look way too easy. My press contact informs me that just yesterday, Tonya mentioned that she hoped Kedzie keeps her boobs straight in the fight because Carano's boobs distracted her during the fight. You heard it here first! Yeah...whichever fight wins fight of the night, this one usurps it on those comments alone.
Round 1 - They touch. Low kick by Quach, flurry but Bobby moves away. More low kicks by Bao. Bao comes in against the cage but Bobby circles again. They circle in the middle, more low kicks by Quach. Big low kick by Bobby is caught and they trade but nothing solid lands. Another low by Quach. Battle of the low kicks! Bobby comes into the clinch but Quach reverses into Bobby's guard. Bobby shifts around, leaving his guard open and looks for reversal but gives up side mount to Bao. Bobby keeps scrambling but Quach gets back into guard. Bobby kicks Quach up and the crowd chants for Alvarez. God I hate Philadelphia fans. Clinch now, Bobby pushes Quach up against the cage. They break. Low kick by Quach again. Low kick by Bobby. Low kick by Quach. I see a pattern here! Low kick by Quach. Bobby moves up, wings a right hand but misses. Quach kicks inside and punches a flurry at Bobby, ties him up against the fence but Bobby reverses. He picks Quach up and slams into his guard. Quach with upkicks but Bobby pounds away, Quach about to get up as the round ends.
Round 2 - They circle. More trading of low kicks but a high body kick by Quach lands as they scramble up and down against the fence. Bobby eventually pulls guard. They wrestle for position but get back up. They trade, Bobby tags the body but slips and Quach moves in for the clinch. Bobby reverses against the cage but Quach pushes him off with another low kick. Wild overhand right by Bobby lands but Quach just takes it. That had to hurt. Another body shot by Bobby hits and he's up against the cage again, Bao counters the same way. Another wild right by Bobby but Quach is already in the clinch. Left by Bobby connects as they seperate. He goes for the single after catching a low kick, up against the fence and Bobby lands a punishing body blow. They go back to the center and Quach controls it, refusing to abandon those low kicks. Body shot by Quach, hard exchange sees Bobby get the better. Telegraphed right hook by Bobby, he shoots and eats a knee to the body for his trouble. Body blow by Quach, left hook tags Bobby. Quach changing levels a lot now. It pushes Bobby back. Another low kick, another clinch, another reversal, another round.
Round 3 - They circle. Quach with a one two attempt, misses the low kick. Bobby circles on the outside but Quach answers with more low kicks. Check them, dammit! What the hell is the matter with you?! They trade on the outside, nice left by Quach finds its mark. Quach continues to lead with low kicks into more combos. Another low kick by Quach and Bobby counters with a hard right that puts him off balance. They clinch on the fence but Bobby can't get the takedown. Bobby rushes into the centre, they both swing for the fences, body shot by Bobby hits. Wild right misses. Bao still using the lows but leads with a hard left that stumbles Bobby. Superman punch by Bobby but Bao reverses it and gets the takedown into Bobby's guard. They struggle a bit and Bao lands a one two as he gets up. They trade in the center, and that's the fight.
Round 1 - Morgan shoots right off the back, puts Daley against the fence right away. Wow. Daley grabbed the shorts but still gets taken down into guard. Morgan puts him against the fence on the ground, the crowd is chanting Soccer lyrics. Tremendous! Morgan holds him there but the ref stands it. They soon clinch again, Daley looks to take the back but Morgan shoots against the cage again. Daley with hooks and knees, BIG elbow drops Morgan. Paul Daley defeats Sammy Morgan via round 1 KO.
Ouch, Daley is dangerous to have such a short time striking like that. He can be taken down easily though, and a better submission artist might have his way with him. Still, very impressive. Daley yells "SEMTEX!" at the crowd. Represent! I guess.
Round 1 - They circle. Eddie shoots for the single against the cage and eventually gets Ross down. They scramble up, Eddie takes the back and then goes back to half guard. More chants from the crowd. He pushes for mount but winds up in Ross' full guard. Eddie postures, shoots when Ross tries to get up. Knees by Alvarez. Wild right misses and Ross takes the hooks but they seperate. Eddie stalking. Nice left by Ross. Eddie pushes against the cage again, more knees in the clinch. Ross is stunned by a knee/punch combo and he goes down, Alvarez with full mount, but Ross gets back up. More wild rights by Eddie, Ross counters. Low kick by Eddie. Wild right by Ross misses, Eddie tees off in the corner but Ross is back up AGAIN! He won't stay down!! They're back in the clinch, the seperate and Ross brings it back to the center. Low kick by Alavarez hits. Clinch and more knees. They fight for the takedown. More knees and they seperate. Ross can't seem to trade with Alvarez. Body kick by Eddie hits, flurry hits and they trade as the round ends.
Round 2 - They trade, good jabs by Ross. Another good jab. Alvarez looks to change levels for a shot but slips. Clinch but they seperate. Ross lands a nice body shot. Eddie with jabs. More circling. Ross telegraphs a left that sends Eddie away. Both changing levels, body kick by Alvarez hits and he shoots for the single then gets it to the ground into half guard. Alvarez pushes for side mount but can't find it and winds up in full guard. More struggle for position and they're back up in the clinch. Alvarez throws Ross down, he goes to get back up and a big punch by Eddie knocks Ross back down. Alvarez pounds away for the finish. Eddie Alvarez defeats Ross Ebanez via round 2 TKO.
