The Japan-based Shooto organization brought three of its top young prospects to the U.S. for Shooto: Season 1 The Arrival, but some of California's top prospects ended up stealing the show on Saturday night at No Limits MMA & Fitness.

Two former Shooto rookies of the year and a top-10 ranked featherweight all suffered defeats.

Irvine's Bao Quach of Team Oyama won the standup battle against Japan's Tenkei Fujimiya and took a three-round unanimous decision in the main event.

Bakersfield's Brian Cobb, the Gladiator Challenge lightweight champion, scored takedowns and slams at will and used his ground-and-pound skills to score a TKO over Kenichiro Togashi at 2:20 of the third round.

Lightweight Joe Camacho of East Los Angeles pulled off a huge upset, scoring a three-round unanimous decision over highly-touted Akiyo Nishiura.

Camacho used relentless pressure to pile up the points and win by scores of 29-28, 29-27 and 29-28 despite losing a point for an illegal kick in the second round.

On the undercard, welterweight Brett Cooper of Sub Fighter locked on an anaconda choke that forced Vince Guzman of Millennia Jiu-Jitsu to tap out at 1:58 of the opening round.

Bantamweight Rick McCorkell of Millennia Jiu-Jitsu stopped Kelvin Nimsiriruengphal of H.B. Ultimate Training Center with a series of unanswered punches at 2:17 of the second round.

Featherweight Richie Collingham of Universal Grappling caught Travis McRoberts of H.B. Ultimate Training Center in a rear naked choke and got the submission victory at 2:05 of the opening round.

Featherweight Leo Hirai of Fight Science took the best punches Raja Shippen of Joker's Wild had to offer before catching him with a heel hook and getting the tap out at 1:32 of the second round.

Featherweight Martin Batista of Team Oyama stopped Albert Hill of Universal Grappling with a barrage of strikes at 2:56 of the opening round.
