The only words that could be used to describe Wild Bills Fight Night 3: The Invasion of the Veterans could be to call it The Best.

The card was filled with 10 MMA bouts that many in the state of Georgia said was the most exciting card top to bottom and the beautiful venue of Wild Bills played host to the evening.

With thousands in attendance and the Wild Bills Wild Girls keeping the beers flowing all night long the action in the ring kept the fans on their feet from start to finish.

Stoney Hale of Tennessee and Paul Passmore got the action started with their 205 lb fight. The two went at it for three incredible rounds that saw Paul Passmore breaking his hand and injuring his nose. But the tough fighter from Georgia stayed in it till there was only a minute left when the fight was finally stopped. Hale won the fight, but both fightrs put on one of the best fights the city has seen in years, and this was from a couple of newcomers to the sport.

Cliff Fretwell of McDonough kept his undefeated record in tact with a huge win over an experienced Aaron Steele of Omaha, Nebraska. Fretwell showed off his boxing skills by knocking Steele down in the first round and nearly out of the ropes. Fretwell quickly jumped on top of Steele, but because they were on their way out of the ropes, the referee brought them back to their feet and to the center of the ring. Steele had several opportunities to end the fight as he had Fretwell in a rear naked choke on two different occasions, but Fretwell escaped both and continued pounded Steele and gaining valuable points on the judges scorecards. At the end, Fretwell won a split decision.

Dymond Jones, a 195 lb beast, continued to do what he's done thus far, win and win quickly. This time he took it to Sam King and won less than 20 seconds into the fight. At 200 lbs there's not too many people that can compete with Dymond Jones. It'll be interesting to see how far he goes.

Now it was time for the co-main event and the main event of the evening.

In the co-main event Marcus Davis of Boston stepped in the ring against Jason Hathaway of Georgia. Davis is a veteran of the UFC and was on the popular tv show The Ultimate Fighter. Hathaway is a member of the US Army and is weeks away from being deployed again overseas. Despite the toughness of Hathaway, Davis showed the crowd what they wanted to see by quickly disposing of Hathaway with a submission.

The main event saw tough as nails Tim Stout of Tennessee face Rick Reeves of Seattle. Stout is a veteran of the UFC and Reeves trains with the popular Team Quest in Oregon. Both these guys went out with guns blazing and fists flying. Reeves landed a shot that cut Stout on top of his eye and near his cheek which provided a wake up call of sorts to Stout. He then returned the favor landing a big kick to Reeves stomach which seemed to bother him. Stout followed it up a few seconds later by knocking Reeves out cold. Stout celebrated in his corner full of blood as Reeves laid on the canvas for a bit. Stout won the fight, but received 10 stiches in his dressing room. A thirty eight second fight ended what many called one of the best nights of MMA in Atlanta.
