Just a note before we get in to the results: There were more people in attendance for this event than at the last PPV it appeared.

Round one
They clinch and slam against the cage. Hamill immediately goes for the takedown as expected. Seth throws a hard kick, but Matt catches it and down goes Petruzelli. During some ground and pound Matt cuts Seth's eye pretty badly and Seth is trying to wipe it away. They are on their feet again and Seth is doing what he does best and that's kicking. Matt scores another takedown and Seth looks absolutely frustrated and disgusted with his performance. Matt manages more ground and pound.

One cool thing to note is that Big John McCarthy was using hand signals for Matt and at the ten second mark they slapped the floor of the Octagon so that he could feel the ten second warning. Pretty good stuff by the UFC.

Round two

Seth starts pushing the pace and catches Matt with a reverse side kick that rocks Hamill. Matt immediately takes it to the ground, but nothing really happens so Big John has to stand them up. More leg kicks and Seth is really trying to land the right hand to Hamill who is fighting with his hands down.

Matt gets a takedown and starts the ground and pound attack once again. Seth is bleeding badly from his right eye.

Round three

Seth kicks to start thing off and he is looking desperate. Matt gets another takedown, but once again they are stood up. Petruzelli gets a good look at a guillotine attempt, but nothing comes of it. Seth nails Matt with a kick and then gets taken to the mat for his trouble. They have to stop the fight to check Seth's cut, but it continues. Matt scores a HUGE takedown and follows it up with more ground and pound until time runs out.

Winner by Unanimous decision: Matt Hamill

What a surprise this was. Herman takes Macdonald down via a whizzer from the clinch after some tame striking. Macdonald reverses the position so that he is now on top. There are some good sweeping exchanges here that take place with each fighter gaining the positioning advantage. Macdonald sinks in a deep triangle choke arm bar and then switches the arm bar into a semi-kimura.

The triangle is so deep that it forces Ed to tap out after about 30 seconds of fighting it.

Winner by tap out: Jason MacDonald

They start out with some feeling out type of striking before going to the clinch. Kendall gets the takedown and they grapple for position. Grove gets a foot lock on Price, but Chris escapes out of it and gets mounted for his troubles. Kendall just starts pummeling his opponent until finally he is forced to tap out due to strikes.

Winner by tap out: Kendall Grove

Notes: Shamrock gets booed and then Tito gets booed on their entrances. Tiki accompanied Ortiz to the ring. When the official introductions are read, Ken gets booed and Tito gets booed.....and then they chant "Tito, Tito!" I will never understand the way the fans minds work.

Round one

They meet in the center of the Octagon and eye each other, Ken smiles. They clinch and Tito manages to get the takedown and then starts his ground and pound. At two minutes and twenty three seconds of the first round, Tito knocks Shamrock out with a flurry of hard punches.

Winner by knockout: Tito Ortiz

After the fight Tito flicks of Shamrock, but Ken blows it off and comes over to his corner. There are some words and the two embrace to the cheers of the fans. After Ken's interview, Tito approaches him and shows true class by sending Ken off with a great speech about what he has done for the sport and how he has always looked up to him despite their differences.

It was a great night of fights and it was free! Way to go Spike TV and thank you Dana White!

It was also announced that you will be able to watch the boxing match with Tito and Dana White on PPV very soon. I can't wait to see that one for myself.
